These waxes are a blend of the highest quality beeswax polish, offering exceptional results. Available in 5 distinctive wood shades, they have been widely used to finish sealed or previously polished wood for almost a generation.
Dry Time:
The Fiddes Mellow Wax Polish has a dry time of approximately 10 minutes at room temperature.
Coverage:
It provides a coverage of approximately 16 square meters per liter, depending on the substrate and method of application.
Coats:
One coat is recommended, but additional coats can be applied to deepen the color/shade and enhance the sheen level.
Thinners:
White Spirit or Pure Turpentine can be used as thinners.
Recommended for Use On:
Fiddes Mellow Wax Polish is ideal for use on fine furniture, doors, floors, cabinet work, and paneling.
Preparation:
Ensure that the wood surfaces are free from dust or blemishes before applying Fiddes Mellow Wax Polish. It can be used on previously finished or sealed wood.
Ideal Application:
Use a clean cotton cloth, sponge, or brush to apply the wax in the direction of the wood grain whenever possible. To achieve a uniform color, apply the wax evenly, blending it over the entire surface area with a small amount of pressure. Lightly remove any excess wax immediately with a separate clean absorbent cloth, following the direction of the grain pattern.
Leave the wax to dry for approximately 10 minutes, and then buff to a finish using a soft cloth.
