For added versatility, these tinted options can be further coated with a Semi-Gloss or Matt finish.

Preparation is crucial to achieving the best results. Make sure all surfaces are clean, dry, and free from any previous finish. Sand the substrate with a fine 150 grade sanding paper or 150 grit sanding disk to remove any dust or imperfections.
Applying Fiddes Hard Wax Oil is a breeze. Ensure proper ventilation during and after application, and always test on a small area before applying it extensively. No primer is required, and a maximum of two coats is recommended. Apply at room temperature, and there’s no need to thin the product.
For the first coat, thoroughly stir the contents and apply evenly using a Fiddes Floor Oil Brush or a high-quality bristle or synthetic brush, following the direction of the grain. Allow it to dry for 4-6 hours in warm, well-ventilated conditions or preferably overnight.
Apply the second coat in the same manner as the first. After drying for 4-6 hours, clean the applicators with White Spirit. Once the area is completely dry, a light buffing will further enhance the sheen level. Note that for tinted options, a single coat of Tinted Hard Wax Oil is recommended, followed by a finish with Clear Hard Wax Oil.
To maintain your wood surfaces, use Fiddes Wood Surface Cleaner for regular cleaning. A light spray followed by buffing will remove minor blemishes. In high-wear areas, it’s recommended to periodically apply Fiddes Floor Surface Cleaner. If staining becomes apparent, re-application of Fiddes Hard Wax Oil may be necessary in specific areas. For renovation, lightly sand the area with 150 grit sandpaper and re-apply sparingly.
Fiddes Hard Wax Oil offers excellent coverage, with a single application covering approximately 20-24 square meters per liter, depending on the substrate density.
