Bona Wax Oil is a durable wax oil specifically formulated for the periodic maintenance of oiled and hardwax oiled surfaces. It is designed to restore the appearance of dry and worn-out oiled wood floors while adding a protective layer of wax to enhance their resistance to water and spills.
One of the key benefits of Bona Wax Oil is its ability to restore and protect oiled and hardwax oiled surfaces. It effectively revitalizes the wood by nourishing and rejuvenating the oiled surface, bringing back its natural beauty and richness. Additionally, the application of wax creates an additional protective layer that helps to repel water and resist spills, keeping the wood protected against potential damage.
Bona Wax Oil is formulated with a concentrate of natural oils and waxes, carefully selected for their restorative and protective properties. These ingredients work together to penetrate the wood and provide deep nourishment, while also creating a durable and long-lasting layer of wax on the surface.
Importantly, Bona Wax Oil contains less than 2% solvents, making it a low-solvent product. This means that it has a reduced level of volatile organic compounds (VOCs), which are chemicals that can be harmful to human health and the environment. The low solvent content of Bona Wax Oil contributes to a safer and more environmentally friendly application.
Furthermore, Bona Wax Oil has a low odor formulation, ensuring a more pleasant and comfortable user experience during application. The minimized odor allows for a more enjoyable maintenance process without the strong chemical smell often associated with similar products.
If necessary, the previously oiled surface must be thoroughly cleaned with Bona Oil Soap or Bona Deep Clean Solution, and allowed to dry, prior to application of wax oil. Allow product to reach room temperature and shake the container thoroughly before use. Minimum temperature for use is 16C
1. Apply Bona Wax Oil thinly using a Bona WoolPad or a stainless–steel trowel. Note: The liquid wax oil may contain larger particles of wax. This is normal. The wax is softened and smeared out during the buffing process.
2. Without delay, remove surplus material with cotton cloths and let the surface dry for minimum 12 hours. Expect longer drying time on dense, exotic wood and if the temperature is low.
